What is MUN?

About MUN

Model United Nations (MUN) is an academic simulation of the United Nations where students, youth leaders, and young professionals assume the roles of diplomats representing different countries. Through structured debate, negotiation, and problem-solving, participants discuss global issues, draft resolutions, and collaborate to develop sustainable solutions.

What is MUNCD?

About MUNCD

MUN of the Ceylon Diplomats is a flagship youth diplomacy conference established by the Rotaract Club of Colombo Fort, in partnership with the Zahira College Model United Nations Club. The initiative seeks to elevate Sri Lanka’s MUN landscape by combining Rotaract’s professional leadership ethos with the strong academic foundation of school-level MUN culture.

The conference aims to serve as a Colombo-based hub for dialogue on international affairs, sustainable development, crisis response, human rights, and policy innovation. It stands as a platform for young Sri Lankans to gain exposure to global diplomatic frameworks while becoming responsible, articulate, and solution-oriented leaders.
